Super Typhoon Pepito set to make landfall in Catanduanes as Signal No. 5 remains in effect
Super Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, is expected to make landfall on the eastern coast of Catanduanes tonight. Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5 remains in effect for Catanduanes and northeastern Camarines Sur. The weather bureau, Pagasa, reported that Pepito is moving west-northwest and could bring wind speeds of 185 kph or higher. This poses an extreme threat to life and property in the affected areas. Classes in Catanduanes have been suspended for November 17 due to the storm's impact. Residents are advised to prepare for severe weather conditions.
