Super Typhoon Pepito triggers Signal No. 4 in Bicol region of the Philippines
Super Typhoon Pepito, also known as Man-yi, has prompted the Philippine weather agency to issue Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4 for parts of the Bicol Region. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 230 kph. Areas under Signal No. 4 can expect wind speeds of 118 to 184 kph, which may cause significant damage. Pepito is currently located 185 kilometers east of Catarman, Northern Samar, and is expected to make landfall near Catanduanes on Saturday evening or early Sunday. The weather agency has also raised lower signals in other regions, indicating varying levels of wind and storm surge risks. Pepito is projected to move through several regions before exiting the Philippine area of responsibility by November 18.
