Supreme Court halts action against Lotus Greens in Noida

The Supreme Court has temporarily halted any coercive action against Lotus Greens regarding the Noida Sports City Project. This decision follows a plea from the developer, challenging a previous ruling by the Allahabad High Court. Last month, the Allahabad High Court ordered a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the project. The court also directed the Noida Authority to demand payment of outstanding dues from stakeholders, totaling around Rs 2,700 crore. Lotus Greens had previously withdrawn its writ petitions but expressed confidence in the Supreme Court's intervention. The company noted that work on the project had begun before a ban was imposed in January 2021.
