Supreme Court halts action against Lotus Greens project

The Supreme Court has temporarily halted any coercive action against Lotus Greens regarding the Noida Sports City Project. This decision follows a plea from the developer, challenging a previous ruling by the Allahabad high court that ordered a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities. The Allahabad high court had directed the CBI to investigate connections between builders and Noida authority officials, citing multiple violations. The Noida authority had also issued notices demanding payment of outstanding dues, which total around ₹2,700 crore. The Sports City project, launched in 2014, has faced significant delays due to restrictions imposed by the Noida authority. Despite ongoing inquiries and a lack of occupancy certificates for housing projects, the Supreme Court's intervention may provide a path forward for resolving these issues.
