Suranne Jones and Aimee Lou Wood star in new BBC rom-com Film Club

The BBC has announced the cast for its new romantic comedy series, *Film Club*, featuring Suranne Jones and Aimee Lou Wood. The six-part series explores love and family dynamics, focusing on a character named Evie who hasn't left her home in six months. Jones will play Evie's mother, while Wood portrays Evie. The cast also includes Adam Long, Nabhaan Rizwan, and Liv Hill. The story centers on Evie's film club and her friendship with Noa, which is tested when he receives a job offer far away. Filming has begun in Manchester, with the series set to air next year on BBC iPlayer and BBC Three. Wood and co-creator Ralph Davis have been developing the project for a decade.
