Surgeon sues influencer for breaching non-disclosure agreement

A plastic surgeon known as the "Boob God," Dr. Riccardo Frati, is suing influencer Katy Morgan for violating a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). Morgan alleged that Dr. Frati botched her breast surgery in April 2021, and she made critical comments about him on social media. Morgan claims she did not know she had signed the NDA while under the influence of opioids. She argues that the NDA should not prevent her from discussing her surgery, especially since it may infringe on her right to speak out. Dr. Frati's legal team argues that Morgan is obliged to honor the NDA. They also state that she could face financial penalties for breaching its terms. The General Medical Council said that it can still investigate complaints from patients, even if an NDA is in place. Morgan's lawyers are trying to have the case dismissed. They argue the NDA was signed under undue influence when Morgan was not in a fit state to consent. Morgan has gained support from the Free Speech Union, which calls the case "deeply alarming." They argue that no professional should be shielded from accountability through a contract. Dr. Frati, who has worked with various celebrities, denies the allegations and states that they are baseless. He is awaiting the court to deliberate on the matter.
