Surrey police arrest man after strip mall fire

Police in Surrey have made an arrest after a fire broke out at a strip mall overnight. The incident occurred in the City Centre neighborhood. Two officers on patrol noticed smoke and a burning smell near the intersection of 108 Avenue and City Parkway. They stopped to investigate and saw a man leaving one of the businesses. The officers then arrested him. Luckily, no injuries were reported from the fire. Investigators are currently at the scene to assess the damage and find out what caused the fire. The suspect is still in custody as police continue their investigation. They are calling for anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers for anonymity.
