Suspect arrested for JJP leader's murder in Panipat

Police in Panipat have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a local political leader. The suspect is Ranbir Kumar, from Jagsi village. He is accused of shooting Ravinder Minna, who was a state secretary for the JJP's youth wing. The police made the arrest on Sunday after receiving a tip about Ranbir's location. He was found near a powerhouse in Sector 29 by a special police team led by Inspector Phool Kumar. The shooting occurred on Friday night during a village meeting, or panchayat, when Minna and two others were attacked. Minna was killed instantly, while the other two, Vineet and Vinay, were injured and are now receiving medical treatment. According to Superintendent of Police Lokender Singh, the conflicts arose over a family dispute between Ranbir's brother-in-law and Minna's family. The dispute escalated and led to a panchayat being arranged to resolve the issues. However, it ended in violence when the shooting took place. The investigation is ongoing as police gather more details about the events leading up to the murder.
