Marcus A. Bausley faces serious charges after a tragic incident in Chicago that left his ex-partner and two children harmed. Prosecutors say he attacked Teone Jones, 33, on February 20, during an argument at a home where they lived with their children. They allege that Bausley stabbed Jones multiple times after pushing her down a staircase. The situation escalated when Jones’s 8-year-old son intervened. Bausley reportedly stabbed the boy as well, before fleeing the scene with the injured child. Jones’s family discovered her at the bottom of the stairs and called 911, but she later died at the hospital. Bausley is charged with murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping. After the stabbings, he picked up Jones’s 11-year-old son from basketball practice and is accused of stabbing him in a parked car. That child is currently in the hospital recovering from his injuries. Authorities issued an Amber Alert for the missing children. Bausley eventually dropped off the 8-year-old at his mother's house, and he was found with stab wounds soon after. Bausley was later arrested in Indiana after he attempted to harm himself as police approached his car. The couple had a history of domestic violence, including incidents where Bausley sent over 200 threatening messages to Jones and even physically assaulted her. Bausley’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 9.
