In a recent interview, Paiz denied supplying drugs to Payne, claiming they used drugs together but he never provided them. He stated that Payne was already under the influence when they met at a restaurant. Paiz described their interactions, noting they met at his workplace and spent time together on two occasions. He recounted the last time he saw Payne, when he declined to accompany him back to the hotel due to work commitments.
