Suspect in South Shore triple shooting arrested in Georgia
A man named Ricardo Gonzalez was arrested in Georgia on charges related to a triple shooting in South Shore, Chicago. The shooting occurred on January 28, when Gonzalez allegedly kidnapped three women and shot them in an alley. Two of the women, aged 37 and 39, died from gunshot wounds. Gonzalez, who is 32 years old, is reported to be a member of the Tren De Aragua gang from Venezuela. He was captured by U.S. Marshals in Cobb County, Georgia. He now faces charges of kidnapping, two counts of murder, and one count of attempted murder. The woman who survived the shooting is believed to be in her 20s or 30s. She suffered serious injuries and managed to escape by running to a nearby house for help. A resident, Marcia Talbert, described how the woman, covered in blood, pleaded for assistance. Talbert and her husband immediately called 911 as the woman sought refuge at another neighbor's home until help arrived. Gonzalez is currently waiting to be extradited back to Chicago for his trial.
