Suspect named in murder of SEA Games champion Mervin Guarte

Police have identified a 31-year-old tricycle driver as the suspect in the murder of Southeast Asian Games champion Mervin Guarte. A criminal complaint for murder will be filed against him. Guarte was fatally stabbed while sleeping and later died from his injuries. CCTV footage captured the suspect fleeing the scene. The suspect is believed to have a personal grudge against Guarte and is currently on the run. Police are searching for him in nearby areas.
