Suvendu Adhikari declares Hindu dominance ahead of elections
Suvendu Adhikari, the Leader of Opposition in West Bengal, made strong statements during Ram Navami celebrations. He claimed that Hindus would rule India and predicted that the current government, led by Mamata Banerjee, would be defeated in the 2026 elections. Adhikari criticized the Trinamool Congress for trying to please minority voters and urged Hindus to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Adhikari expressed concerns about the growing influence of minority groups in West Bengal. He mentioned that the Trinamool Congress attempts to prevent Ram Navami celebrations, which he argued is part of a strategy to consolidate votes from specific communities. He warned that if Banerjee's party remains in power, the state's situation could mirror that of Bangladesh. He called for unity among Hindus and other communities to vote for the BJP. Adhikari highlighted that this year's Ram Navami would be significant, celebrating the recent completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He stated that large rallies would take place and promised legal support for organizers facing police requirements for the events. There were also mentions of previous violence during Ram Navami celebrations in areas like Egra and Shyampur, which Adhikari urged to be avoided this year. Adhikari maintained that numerous rallies would occur and vowed that no one could stop the celebrations. Former BJP State President Dilip Ghosh echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need for safety and unity among Hindus in West Bengal.
