Suzanne Collins releases new Hunger Games prequel, *Sunrise on the Reaping*

Suzanne Collins is returning to the world of The Hunger Games with a new book titled Sunrise on the Reaping. This prequel focuses on Haymitch Abernathy's journey during the Second Quarter Quell, 24 years before Katniss Everdeen. In that year, there were twice as many tributes, but only Haymitch survived. Collins aims to reveal more about Haymitch's troubled past and his tragic decisions. In addition to Collins' book, several other new titles are set for release this spring. Carley Fortune's One Golden Summer, available May 6, continues the story in Barry’s Bay, where Charlie will find happiness with Alice. Abby Jimenez starts a new series with Say You’ll Remember Me on April 1, a romantic tale about a life-changing night. Emily Henry's Great Big Beautiful Life releases on April 22 and draws inspiration from Taylor Swift's songs. Readers will explore the lives of writers in search of a famous reclusive figure. Jo Harkin’s The Pretender, also out April 22, tells the historical story of Lambert Simnel, a young man with a claim to the English throne. Other notable releases include My Friends by Fredrik Backman on May 6, a story about friendship across time, and The Last Ferry Out by Andrea Bartz on May 20, which follows a woman seeking answers about her fiancé's death on a mysterious island. This spring promises a mix of adventure, romance, and intrigue in the literary world.
