Suzuki unveils e Vitara as its first electric vehicle with 4WD system ahead of 2025 launch in India
Suzuki has introduced its first electric vehicle, the e Vitara, at an event in Milan. This model is set to launch in India and globally in 2025. It is based on the eVX prototype and features an electric 4WD system. The e Vitara is built on a new electric platform and offers two battery options: 49kWh and 61kWh. It includes a single-speed electric drive transmission and can be configured with either 2WD or 4WD, with the latter available on higher-spec models. Manufacturing will take place at the Suzuki Motor Gujarat plant, starting in Spring 2025. The e Vitara will be available in Europe, India, and Japan, featuring advanced capabilities for navigating rough terrain.
