Swurv arrested for battery in Miami after traffic dispute

Benjamin Leon Kearse Jr., known as Swurv and husband of rapper Trina, was arrested for battery on March 20 in Miami. His arrest relates to an incident from July 2023. According to police reports, a man was crossing the street when Kearse's Dodge Charger abruptly stopped in front of him. The man's hand hit Kearse's car trunk. Kearse allegedly yelled at the man, who approached to explain what happened. The situation escalated, and Kearse reportedly became aggressive. The man claims Kearse followed him to a nearby residence and punched him multiple times, causing a fractured nose. Police reviewed surveillance footage that corroborated the victim's account. After gathering evidence, police arrested Kearse, taking him to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Attempts to reach Trina for a comment have been unsuccessful. Trina and Kearse were married in May 2024, and it is uncertain how this incident may affect their plans.
