The Food Truck Battle is returning to Syracuse for its fifth year. Scheduled for May 16 and 17, 2025, the event will take place at the New York State Fairgrounds. It has grown from a single day to a full weekend festival. This year, over 55 food trucks will compete for the Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards. Organizer Nick Sanford hopes it will be the biggest event yet. He believes the festival is gaining more popularity each year. In addition to delicious food, there will be live music both days. The show will close with a performance by the alternative rock band lovelytheband on Saturday night. Friday’s lineup includes local bands and a Taylor Swift tribute group. Families can enjoy a KidZone with live characters and games. There will also be an Artisan Village featuring over 50 local artists and crafters. General admission for the festival is $10, while VIP tickets are available for $30 in advance or $40 at the door. Children under 12 can enter for free, and parking is free in designated lots. For more information, visitors can check the festival's website or email organizers.
