Syria appoints Aisha al-Dibs as head of women's affairs to lead rebuilding efforts
Aisha al-Dibs has been appointed as the new head of the Women’s Affairs Office in Syria. She stated that women from all provinces and ethnicities will play a crucial role in rebuilding the country after over a decade of conflict. Al-Dibs emphasized the government's commitment to involving women in social, cultural, and political institutions. She plans to encourage participation in a national conference to discuss Syria's future and address the needs of female detainees. Her office will also focus on the welfare of women released from prisons, including psychological support and legal protection. Al-Dibs is the first woman to hold a ministry in the new Syrian administration.
