Syria's new Prime Minister calls for stability as Israel and Turkey intensify military actions
Syria's new transitional Prime Minister, Mohammad al-Bashir, has called for stability as Israel conducted over 350 airstrikes targeting military assets in the country. These strikes focused on weapons stockpiles and strategic infrastructure, including naval facilities and airfields. The Turkish intelligence agency also targeted a convoy of abandoned Syrian government weapons, destroying 12 trucks and two tanks near the border. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the need for an inclusive political process in Syria. Rebel leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, known as Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, reassured the international community that Syria is moving towards stability and reconstruction after the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. The UN is considering removing Hayat Tahrir al-Sham from its terrorist list if it forms an inclusive government.
