Systane eye drops recalled over potential fungal contamination, FDA reports

Systane eye drops have been recalled due to possible fungal contamination, according to the FDA. One lot of Systane Lubricant Eye Drops Ultra PF was affected after a consumer reported foreign material in a sealed vial. The contamination could lead to serious eye infections, especially in immunocompromised individuals. The recalled product is a 25-count pack with lot number 10101 and an expiration date of September 2025. Alcon Laboratories, the manufacturer, has not received reports of adverse effects. Consumers are advised to stop using the drops and can seek a refund or replacement.
