T-Mobile opens beta registration for Starlink mobile connectivity testing

T-Mobile has opened beta registration for Starlink connectivity on mobile phones, with testing set to start early next year. This follows a partnership with SpaceX announced in 2022 to improve coverage in areas without cell service. More than 300 new Starlink satellites are now in orbit, covering over 500,000 square miles currently lacking cell tower service. The beta will initially allow text messaging, with voice and data support planned for later. Any postpaid T-Mobile customer, including businesses and first responders, can register for the beta without needing a premium plan.
