TAIPEI, Taiwan – The Smart City Summit and Expo (SCSE) 2025 highlighted the need for international cooperation in addressing urban challenges. Global leaders in policy and industry gathered to discuss partnerships that can tackle issues cities face today. The event, which is the largest of its kind in Asia, attracted around 2,800 participants from various countries. They focused on topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital governance, and sustainability. He noted that 258 smart applications have been created by 345 companies, which are now helping solve various urban challenges. The summit also emphasized global cooperation. Gábor Kiss from Hungary stated that the digital revolution needs to be a collaborative effort across borders. He highlighted Hungary's commitment to working with nations, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, to foster smart city developments. Steven M. Neuhaus from Orange County, New York, also stressed the importance of global partnerships to improve urban life quality. He believes that the future of smart cities relies on these collaborations and digital solutions. In addition to discussions, SCSE 2025 featured over 1,000 business meetings aimed at forming partnerships for urban development strategies worldwide.
