Tamil Nadu athlete wins bronze at Asia Pacific Deaf Athletics Championship

Shanthanu Ravi, a hearing and speech-impaired athlete from Tamil Nadu, won a bronze medal in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Asia Pacific Deaf Athletics Championship in Malaysia. The event took place from December 1 to 8, featuring around 2,000 athletes from 22 countries. A total of 68 athletes from Tamil Nadu participated, with 13 winning 17 medals overall, including four golds. Shanthanu was one of six bronze medalists from the state. Salem district collector R Brinda Devi visited Shanthanu to congratulate him on his achievement.
