Tantrik arrested after baby dies from ritual abuse
A tragic incident occurred in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district, resulting in the death of a six-month-old baby. The young boy, named Mayank, died on March 18 after suffering serious injuries during a ritual performed by an occultist. The baby's parents had taken him to a local tantrik, Raghuveer Dhakad, on March 13. They sought treatment for Mayank's discomfort. Dhakad claimed the infant was being haunted by "shadows" and proceeded with an exorcism ritual. During this ritual, he hung the baby upside down over a fire, causing severe harm. After the ritual, the parents brought Mayank to the district hospital, and he was later taken to Kamla Raja Hospital in Gwalior for more treatment. Unfortunately, the baby succumbed to his injuries just days later. Following his death, the baby's family buried him without notifying the authorities. Police stated they would exhume the body to conduct a postmortem examination. The tantrik was arrested on March 17, and the investigation into this shocking case is ongoing.
