Target expands baby products in 1,978 stores
Target is preparing to launch a significant increase in baby products at nearly 2,000 stores. The retailer will add over 2,000 new items, focusing on new parents and families. This boost represents a more than 30% increase from last year. The new products will include nursery items, baby apparel, food, and toys. More than half of these new products will be exclusive to Target, coming from popular in-house brands like Cloud Island and Good & Gather, as well as well-known brands like Bumbum and Joie. Prices for the new items start as low as 79 cents, with many under $30. Amanda Nusz, a senior vice president at Target, expressed excitement about the new offerings. She noted that one in four customers shop for baby products. The goal is to provide essential items for every stage of a baby’s life, from diapers to skincare. In addition to traditional baby products, the new collection will feature health and wellness items for both babies and new mothers. This includes postpartum support products like breast pumps and lactation foods. Other new items will include toys, books, car seats, and high chairs. Target also offers a baby registry service to help new parents prepare for their arrivals. The registry includes a free welcome kit valued at over $100, containing discounts and exclusive deals. Target provides various delivery options and a newsletter with updates on new products and sales for customers.
