Tariffs harm trade between Canada and Pennsylvania
Tom Clark, the Consul General of Canada in New York, addressed the Pennsylvania House on Tuesday. He expressed feelings of betrayal regarding President Donald Trump’s tariffs and territorial threats. Clark highlighted the significant trade relationship between Canada and Pennsylvania, which totals about $30 billion each year. He emphasized the strong economic and historical ties between the two regions, stating that their futures are closely linked. Despite the current tensions, Clark reassured House members that both sides will continue to cooperate. He mentioned that the impact of tariffs could “destroy dreams” for many individuals in both Canada and Pennsylvania.
