Tashawn Adams sentenced for brutal kidnapping and torture

A Syracuse man, Tashawn Adams, was sentenced to prison on Wednesday for his role in the brutal kidnapping and assault of Koddie Beechner in April 2023. Adams, 23, was found to be the main aggressor in this crime. According to police, Beechner, who is mentally challenged, was forced into a home at knifepoint. He was then restrained and tortured for several days. The attacks included beatings, being tased, and being shot with a pellet gun. The horrifying events were recorded on cell phone videos, which contributed to the case against Adams. He admitted to kidnapping and assaulting Beechner during the trial.
