Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint in Chandigarh
A taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint in Sector 48, Chandigarh, early Thursday. The robbers stole his car's music system, battery, ₹16,000 in cash, and important documents while he was sleeping in his vehicle. The victim, Raju, reported the incident to police after the robbers threatened him with a pistol. An FIR has been filed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. In a separate incident in Mohali, two men were booked for robbing a man of ₹1,000 at knifepoint. The victim, Ramu Singh, identified the suspects as acquaintances from his neighborhood.
