Tayme Thapthimthong, known for his role in the hit series "The White Lotus," has shared his unique career path leading to his acting success. The 35-year-old actor plays a character named Gaitok in the show's third season. Before his acting career, Thapthimthong tried many jobs. He expressed his dream to become an actor from a young age. At 18 or 19, he enrolled in a performing arts course at Kingston University in London. There, he was introduced to drama, including a module on Shakespeare, which helped him discover his passion for acting. In addition to acting, Thapthimthong explored various dance styles such as contemporary, ballet, African, Indian, and hip hop. He also served in the military before fully committing to acting. He trained with the Royal Marines and later became a Lieutenant in the Thai Army, serving for three years. After that, he worked in the private sector as a bodyguard. Now that he has gained fame, Thapthimthong is eager to continue his acting career, especially in action films. He expressed a desire to play a character similar to James Bond, saying he is open to roles involving any type of action, whether with guns or swords.
