TCS plans to hire 40000 graduates by March 2025 following Ratan Tata's death
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) plans to hire 40,000 fresh graduates by March 2025, according to Chief HR Officer Milind Lakkad. This decision comes shortly after Ratan Tata's death and aims to address talent shortages in the IT sector. In the second quarter of fiscal year 2025, TCS added 5,726 employees, continuing a hiring trend that began in the previous quarter. This follows a period of employee reductions, marking a significant shift in the company's workforce strategy. Despite a slight increase in attrition to 12.3 percent, TCS reported a 5 percent rise in net profit for the second quarter, totaling Rs 11,909 crore. Revenue also grew by 7.6 percent, reaching Rs 64,259 crore.
