TCU extends basketball coach Mark Campbell's contract to 2030
The TCU women’s basketball team has extended head coach Mark Campbell's contract through 2030. This announcement was made on Wednesday via the team’s social media. In his second year as coach, Campbell has had a successful season. He led the Horned Frogs to a 31-3 overall record, securing both the Big 12 regular season and tournament championships. This year also marks TCU's 10th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and they are set to compete against Fairleigh Dickinson as a No. 2 seed on March 21. Since Campbell took over, the team has shown significant improvement. Previously, TCU had a record of 24-60 from 2020 to 2023 and had not appeared in the NCAA Tournament for 14 years. The last time they participated was during the 2009-10 season. Details about the contract extension were not revealed. However, the team's social media shared a video of Campbell, who expressed excitement about the future, saying, "Frog fam, this is just the beginning."
