Teacher suspended in Shravasti for sharing obscene videos

A government primary school teacher in Shravasti has been suspended after allegedly sharing obscene videos with students. The suspension occurred on Monday, following serious accusations made against him. The police have filed a case under the Pocso and IT Acts. Authorities have announced that the teacher will be arrested soon. The first incident reportedly took place on March 5, when the teacher showed an obscene video to a girl student. She told her parents about it, which led to a complaint against the teacher. On March 12, the teacher allegedly repeated the act with another student. This prompted the parents to protest. In response, basic shiksha adhikari (BSA) Ajay Kumar set up a team, led by block education officer (BEO) Gilola Akhilesh Kumar, to investigate. The investigation confirmed the allegations of misconduct and harassment. As a result, the teacher was suspended immediately. Shravasti SP Ghanshyam Chaurasia stated that a case has been registered based on the parents' complaint. He assured that further investigations are ongoing, and the accused teacher will be arrested soon.
