Teen charged with attempted murder in Brisbane shooting

A 17-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after a man was shot in the chest in Brisbane. The 42-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in serious but stable condition. The shooting happened in a car park on Lakefield Drive in North Lakes last night. Emergency services received the call for help at 9:40 PM. Queensland Police said the man had an "interaction" with three men and the teenage girl before he was shot. The girl was arrested in Riverview at 2 AM this morning. The 17-year-old, from Windsor, faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and unlawful possession of weapons. She will appear at Ipswich Children's Court today and was denied bail. Three men involved in the incident are still at large. However, police assure the public that there is no ongoing threat. An Audi Q5 linked to the suspects has been seized for investigation.
