Teen charged with sexual assault in Sydney's Neutral Bay
An 18-year-old man will appear in court today after being charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Neutral Bay, Sydney. The incident occurred early Thursday morning as the 36-year-old woman was walking home from work. Police say that around 3:30 AM, the woman was grabbed from behind on Wycombe Road. The man allegedly covered her mouth and interfered with her clothing, pushing her against a garage door. During the struggle, the woman kicked and bit the attacker, which led him to flee the scene toward Military Road. Police quickly set up a crime scene and began investigating. The suspect was arrested at Manly Police Station yesterday. He faces several charges, including taking someone with the intent to commit an offence and inflicting bodily harm with intent to engage in sexual intercourse. He has been denied bail and is set to appear in Parramatta Local Court today.
