Tehrik-i-Taliban launches offensive against Pakistan Army

The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has announced a new offensive called Operation Al-Khandak against the Pakistani Army. In a recent video, TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud urged the people of Pakistan to join this jihad. The video has caused widespread panic in Pakistan. In response, the Pakistani Army, led by Chief General Asim Munir, held an emergency meeting with government officials. Following this meeting, the Army announced plans to target terrorist hideouts across the border. Reports suggest that the Army may conduct both air and ground attacks as part of their response to the TTP threat. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif indicated the possibility of a military operation in Afghanistan to eliminate terrorist shelters. Asif accused the Afghan Taliban of supporting anti-Pakistan groups like the TTP. He stated that Pakistan would take actions against its enemies wherever they may be. The Sharif government has consistently claimed that Afghanistan allows these terror groups to operate from its territory. Pakistan's leaders are determined to tackle terrorism in all its forms.
