Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has ordered a study on the backwater impact of the Polavaram project, to be conducted by IIT-Hyderabad experts within a month. A special officer will coordinate this effort. The state will also formally object to Andhra Pradesh's Godavari-Banakacherla link project, which is being developed without necessary approvals. Telangana officials will inform Andhra Pradesh's Chief Secretary and the Godavari River Management Board about these objections.
