A tragic road accident in Florida has claimed the lives of three members of a Telangana family. Pragathi Reddy, her six-year-old son, and her mother-in-law lost their lives when their car was hit by a vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road. Pragathi Reddy, 35, was a software professional who moved to the U.S. in 2012. Her father, Mohan Reddy, shared the news of the incident. He said the family was returning home after a weekend trip when the crash occurred. Her husband, who was driving, suffered injuries but survived the accident along with their eight-month-old baby. Mohan Reddy, a former local leader, expressed his shock and sadness. He confirmed he would be traveling to the U.S. to be with his son-in-law and grandchildren. The family comes from Tekulapalli village in Ranga Reddy district, India. This incident follows other tragedies involving Indian-origin families in the U.S. In August 2023, a car crash in Texas killed a family of three, leaving their 14-year-old child as the lone survivor. Earlier, a family from Gujarat died attempting to cross into the U.S. from Canada during severe winter weather.
