Telangana government nearing 100,000 new hires
The government of Telangana, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is set to fill nearly one lakh job positions. This comes as a result of ongoing recruitment efforts for Group 1, 2, and 3 roles. Within just 15 months, the government has already filled 58,868 posts, a notable achievement in India. Among the filled positions, the Home department has the highest number at 15,526. The Education department follows with 10,209 new recruits. The Medical and Health department filled 7,517 posts, while the BC Welfare department recruited 5,578 individuals. Recently, the government approved 30,228 new posts across various sectors. Among these are 2,711 posts from Group 1, Group 2, and Group 3, which are expected to be filled soon. In addition, the government will provide for 14,236 teacher and helper positions in Anganwadis, and appoint 10,954 village-level officers to improve revenue systems. On Thursday, Mr. Reddy distributed appointment documents to 922 individuals, which included 582 compassion-based appointments. This move aims to support families who have been waiting for jobs after losing their main earners. The Chief Minister has also decided to upgrade 524 posts in local councils to Junior Assistant roles and create 58 new supernumerary Junior Assistant posts.
