Telangana SSC exams begin with smooth first day
The 2025 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations began in Telangana on March 21, 2025. Over 509,000 students from 11,547 schools are participating. The first paper focused on the students' mother tongue and took place from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There are 2,650 examination centers set up across the state. Chief superintendents and departmental officers are overseeing the process, along with flying squads to ensure everything runs smoothly. The Director of Government Examinations (DGE) provided a five-minute grace period for students arriving late. However, one student in Narayanpet who was ten minutes late was not allowed to enter the exam hall. In Hyderabad, about 77,701 students registered for the exams. The district has 358 examination centers and 14 flying squads to monitor the situation. Overall, the first day of exams proceeded without major incidents.
