Tennis coach arrested for alleged sexual abuse of teenage girl in California
Michael Roy Howard, a 64-year-old tennis coach, has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a teenage girl he met at a Contra Costa tennis court. He faces four felony counts related to the abuse and is currently held on $325,000 bail. The alleged incidents occurred after Howard began giving the girl rides home and making inappropriate comments. Authorities say the abuse took place at his home in Moraga last June, where he reportedly kissed and touched her against her will. Howard was arrested in Danville, and police are investigating further claims, including that he sent the girl explicit images and mentioned filming the abuse. The investigation is ongoing, and Howard has not yet been formally charged.
