Teresa Weatherspoon and Phil Handy to lead new Unrivaled 3-on-3 league coaching staff

Teresa Weatherspoon and Phil Handy will lead the inaugural coaching staff for the new Unrivaled 3-on-3 league, starting January 17 in Miami. Other coaches include WNBA assistants Nola Henry and Andrew Wade, and skills coach DJ Sackmann. The league, co-founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, aims to provide players an alternative to overseas competition. It will feature stars like Angel Reese and Brittney Griner, with 32 of 36 players announced so far. Unrivaled will focus on player development, with coaches working on individual improvement plans. Games will be broadcast on TNT and TruTV, with player salaries starting at six figures, averaging around $250,000.
