Terrorist attacks on police stations repelled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Terrorists attacked four police stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts overnight, but police successfully repelled the assaults without any reported casualties. The banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attacks. In Lakki Marwat, two police stations were targeted, and two officers were injured in a roadside blast. In Bannu, attackers used grenades and gunfire against police posts, but local villagers assisted in defending the stations, leading to the attackers fleeing. This incident follows a rise in terrorist activities in Pakistan since the TTP ended its ceasefire in November 2022.
