Tesla owner harassed by motorist in Lynnwood, Washington
A Tesla owner in Lynnwood, Washington, recently reported a disturbing road rage incident. On her way to a doctor's appointment, Leigh was honked at and then cut off by another driver in a white SUV. The other driver got out and yelled at her, calling her car a "Nazi car" and told her to sell it. Leigh described the encounter as threatening and frightening. She explained that she bought the Tesla to reduce her family's carbon footprint and save on gas. Now, she feels unsafe driving it due to the harassment Tesla owners have experienced, especially lately. Since Elon Musk became more prominent in the U.S. government, incidents of attacks on Tesla owners have increased. The Justice Department is prosecuting several cases, including one where suspects threw Molotov cocktails at Tesla vehicles. There have also been incidents of vandalism, including swastikas and slurs painted on Teslas in Lynnwood. In Berlin, four Teslas were set on fire. In Seattle, a Tesla was also destroyed in Capitol Hill. These events highlight the growing tension surrounding Tesla vehicles and their owners.
