Tesla recalls 46,000 Cybertrucks for detachable panel issue
Tesla is recalling over 46,000 Cybertruck vehicles due to a potential safety issue. The problem is with a panel that can detach while the vehicle is in motion. The recall affects all 2024 and 2025 Cybertrucks made between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2025. In total, 46,096 vehicles are involved, but Tesla believes only about 1 percent may have the defect. The issue involves a part called the cant rail. This part is made of steel and joined to another panel with adhesive. Tesla said that in some vehicles, this panel may come loose. If it detaches while driving, it could pose a danger to other drivers. Tesla has informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about the recall. They also noted that there have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to this problem. The situation is still developing, and more updates will follow.
