Tessori emphasizes commitment to public service during Ramadan
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has replied to Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab's recent statements. Tessori emphasized that his main focus during Ramadan is to serve the public, especially during Sehri and Iftar. He stated that he has been busy hosting Iftar events for dignitaries and providing Iftar meals to thousands of people. Tessori believes that his efforts help him gain spiritual merit. He also mentioned giving away gifts like residential plots and Umrah tickets as part of his service to the community. In response to criticism, Tessori advised detractors to focus on positive changes instead of being envious of his popularity. He expressed that he is committed to all citizens, regardless of their background. Meanwhile, Mayor Murtaza Wahab continues to call for attention to Karachi's development. He has urged the Prime Minister to fulfill promises related to funding and improvements in the city. Wahab criticized Tessori for hosting Iftar parties when he believes more focus should be on fixing the city’s problems. During recent developments in Karachi, Wahab pointed out issues like blocked sewers and the need for development funds. He also addressed concerns about MQM's position on local governance, stressing the importance of resolving the water shortage and progressing with various projects in the city.
