Texans draft Kelvin Banks Jr. to improve offensive line
The Houston Texans are having a tough offseason. They are coming off a season where their offensive line was among the worst in the NFL. Things got even worse when they traded star left tackle Laremy Tunsil to the Washington Commanders. Now, the team faces several problems with its offensive line. The players the Texans brought in, Ed Ingram and Laken Tomlinson, have not made fans feel any better about the situation. With a need for a new franchise left tackle, NFL draft expert Daniel Jeremiah has updated his mock draft. He believes the Texans should select Kelvin Banks Jr. from Texas. Jeremiah noted that with Tunsil's departure, fixing the offensive line has become a top priority. He had previously predicted the Texans would draft wide receiver Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State, but now he sees the need for an offensive lineman as more pressing. While Texans fans are worried, there is a small silver lining. They are likely relieved that the team won’t make a move as questionable as trading Tunsil. If they can land Banks and he develops into a star, it could bring hope for the future without spending a lot of money on a left tackle.
