Texas couple arrested for shooting girl's father

A couple in Texas has been arrested after a serious incident involving the father of their son’s teenage girlfriend. The shooting occurred on March 17 during an argument over the dating relationship. Luther Madison II, 39, is accused of shooting the girl's father after he expressed concerns about his daughter being "too young" to date. The couple met with the Madisons to seek help in keeping their son away from the girl. An argument broke out between the two fathers, and during the confrontation, Angelica Madison, 39, reportedly handed Luther a gun. He then shot the victim, who sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. After the shooting, Luther allegedly threatened the victim’s wife with the weapon. Police responded to the scene and found the victim injured. He was flown to a hospital for treatment, but his current condition is unknown. Both Luther and Angelica Madison have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Luther’s bond is set at $100,000, while Angelica's is $25,000. The couple is due back in court on May 20.
