Texas couple arrested for shooting girl's father
A couple in Texas was arrested for their involvement in a violent incident regarding the father of their son's girlfriend. The incident occurred in Hockley on March 18. The girlfriend's father had previously expressed concern about their daughter dating, saying she was "too young" for a relationship. The couple, Luther Madison II and Angelica Madison, were meeting the girl's father to discuss keeping their son away from her. During the meeting, an argument escalated, leading to a fight in the street. Angelica allegedly pulled out a gun and handed it to Luther. Luther then fired the gun, hitting the victim in the chest. He also threatened the victim's wife with the weapon. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found the man injured. He was airlifted to a hospital, but his current condition is not known. Luther Madison has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with a bond set at $100,000. Angelica Madison faces one count of aggravated assault and has a bond set at $25,000. Both were booked into Harris County Jail but have since bonded out. They are scheduled to appear in court on May 20, but it is unclear if they have entered any pleas.
