Texas court to review husband's murder charge dismissal request
A Texas court will look into a request from Brad Simpson, the husband of missing woman Suzanne Simpson, to have his murder charge dismissed. The court hearing is set for April 22, 2025. Suzanne, 51, disappeared on October 6, 2024, following a fight with Brad outside their home in Olmos Park, near San Antonio. Authorities believe Brad caused Suzanne's death on that same day. His attorney, Steven Gilmore, claims to have enough evidence to support this request. On the night of her disappearance, the Simpsons attended a party where witnesses reported seeing them arguing. After the party, Suzanne contacted a friend to say she was coming over and later called her mother to say Brad had hurt her. A neighbor reportedly saw them in a physical altercation outside their home. Following the fight, Brad was seen driving with suspicious items in his truck. Surveillance footage showed him buying cement and other supplies at a Home Depot shortly after Suzanne went missing. When police questioned him, Brad claimed he had not seen Suzanne since late that night. Brad was arrested on October 9, 2024. Evidence later found on his property suggested foul play, including a saw with Suzanne's DNA. He is currently in jail with a bond set at $3 million. His legal team continues to prepare for the upcoming court hearings.
