Texas man charged with murdering wife in Houston

Chance Zane Chavez, 34, faces murder charges for allegedly beating his wife, Kristen Chavez, to death with a clothing iron in their Houston home. Police found him covered in blood and her body in the bedroom. Before the incident, Chavez reportedly stole their four dogs and abandoned them on the Katy Freeway. Three dogs were later found, but one, named Peaches, is still missing. Chavez is being held at the Harris County Jail on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
